Broadband Alarm Transmitter (BAT) provides signaling to your central monitoring station, your alarm company's office, and to the Acadiana Security Plus customer, automating many central station functions, such as the routing of open/close, trouble, supervisory, and test signals. These signals no longer have to be handled by the central monitoring station, which is a huge advantage to the Acadiana Security Plus central station in that they can concentrate on the dispatching of alarms and not be challenged with the handling of secondary signals. Many customers prefer that open/close signals and reporting go directly to the end user, and trouble, supervisory and test signals be provided to the end user and the central monitoring station. All alarm signals are transmitted via industry standard to the central station for dispatching, and in addition, automated email, text, and telephone calls are made to the home-alarm or commercial-alarm customers.

Question... Do I need a telephone or VOIP dial-tone when using the Broadband Alarm Transmitter (BAT)?

Answer... No. The BAT is connected only to a broadband Internet connection. The control panel does not need dial-tone to be monitored.

Question... How does the BAT obtain an IP Address?

Answer... The BAT automatically assigns itself an IP Address by your router through DHCP.

Question... What is "Always-On" Internet?

Answer... This is Broadband Internet that uses a Router/Modem that is connected to the Internet Service Provider 24/7. There is no wait for dialing and connecting.

Question... Can I operate my system remotely?

Answer... Yes. With your iPhone, you can operate your system with the virtual keypad just as if you were at home or the office standing in front of the keypad. Access is fully password protected.
